Just thinking about how stray dogs manage to survive their day-to-day will send every dog lover’s heart bleed. These poor animals survive on edible leftovers in the garbage bins, or if they get lucky, some kind strangers will give them food. These animals also need to be the most cunning on the streets to protect themselves from attacks by other animals or even humans.
Stray dogs pick their fights; most strays do not get into fights unless other dogs have entered their territory. They tend to be aggressive when this happens. But this story of a homeless dog named “Amigo” would prove that there are gentle and affectionate stray dogs who can endure life in the streets.
Howl Of A Dog organization rescued Amigo, a hopeless stray dog roaming in an industrial area in Romania. One of his paws was injured, and the wound was still bleeding when he was rescued, leaving traces of blood on the pavement where he was found. Amigo also had other old scars on his legs.
Some kindhearted people fed Amigo whenever they saw him. But it was not enough for the dog to survive, so he was also forced to scavenge through trash bins for food. The poor pup had a cut on his tongue, which was probably caused by the edges of a tin can or other sharp objects where he was eating scraps from.
Amigo is a playful young dog, affectionate, and very friendly with other pets. He was taken in by the Howl Of A Dog rescue team and was given proper caring. He was then microchipped and had all his vaccines up to date, thanks to the Howl Of A Dog foundation for saving Amigo.
Amigo’s story is made even more special when he found a new home. His new place is located in a very pet-friendly location in New Jersey with wooded areas, ponds, and many other attractions for a pet to explore. Amigo is finally living a happy dog life!
