A sweet pup named Jack has always wanted to have a family who would love him with their whole heart. The nine-month-old pup never lost hope of being adopted one day. And when the time came for him to finally meet his potential family, the pup became disappointed on the day that he looked forward to the most.
A shelter called Peaches Bully Rescue, located in Ohio, took the American bulldog pup under their wings. Jack was born with a defect called Spina Bifida that affects his motor abilities and requires the pup to use a diaper to limit accidents. Other than his birth defect, Jack is a happy and healthy pup.
After some time, Jack finally got a call from a potential adopter asking the shelter if they could meet Jack. The shelter staff happily arranged with the person and set up a place and time for them to get to know each other. Jack was groomed nicely, wearing a clean diaper and a nice harness. He was super ready to finally meet his potential family.
But on the day that Jack looked forward to the most, he was left alone and sad. His potential adopter was a no-show. Jack waited for someone or at least a call saying that they should reschedule to another day, but no one reached out to them.
Jack felt dejected that he had been ghosted, but his friends are always by his side. As soon as others knew what happened to the poor pup, they immediately thought of a way to cheer Jack up. One friend gave him a toy, another gave him treats and still another gave him a pack of diapers. Jack received many presents from his many friends.
But aside from giving gifts, Jack was also very happy when more people, after hearing his story, came forward intending to adopt the pup. Hundreds of inquiries and applications flooded into the shelter to get the attention of the pup. Jack surely felt happy about the news and is hopeful of finally getting to have a forever family.
