Nothing’s more exciting than reuniting with a pet after a long separation. Case in point, one military dad decided to surprise his pup when he got back from his army training session. Their reunion was heartwarming, and it was one of the sweetest things that anyone could ever see.
When Noelle, a deaf Terrier Mix, had to say goodbye to her soldier dad, she was devastated. Without him around, she was extra anxious. So, one of his dad’s buddies, a pet rescue volunteer, decided to drop by often at their house to cheer her up while his dad was away.
One special weekend, the volunteer friend decided to bring Noelle in a pet rescue event. When they got there, the only thing she did was lie glumly in her crate and look at the strangers passing by. Little did this little pooch know that she was in for a huge surprise.
The event turned out to be Noelle and her dad’s most-awaited reunion. In the video, Noelle can be seen inside her cage, looking sad and bored. A few seconds after, a man approached her. To her surprise, the person walking toward her was no other than her favorite human—her dad.
As the military dad got closer, Noelle began springing up into four legs with her tails wagging excitedly, and she had that look that said, “Is it you, Dad?” Then, she started prancing around her crate frantically, waiting for him to open it. Once the crate was open, she wasted no time jumping into his welcoming arms.
What followed after was a series of hugs and kisses as the two could not get enough of each other. It was clear that the military dad and his pet missed each other so much, and they wanted to cherish their bond again after those years of waiting. Their heartwarming reunion could sure melt any dog lover’s heart.
