Everybody loves baby animals. They’re small and adorable, and they have this curious and innocent nature that will make anyone want to spend time with them. However, it’s really unexpected to see a dog becoming obsessed with a baby donkey.
Susan Klingenberg of Little Buckets Farm Sanctuary has an adorable dog named Colton. Susan also takes care of a wide variety of farm animals in the sanctuary, and one of them is a pregnant donkey named Olive. When Olive gave birth to her foal, Willow, Colton was there to witness it all.
Colton was fascinated by Willow, and all Colton wanted to do was say hello to Willow and kiss her. Like all moms, Olive was a little cautious of having Willow come near Colton. However, Colton is such a loving dog and a persistent one that she would try to spend a lot of time with Willow as much as she can.
Whenever Willow was outside grazing on the grass, Colton would be there watching over Willow. Olive started relaxing a bit and started trusting Colton. Willow also became a curious little donkey and started spending more and more time with Colton. Colton is such a sweet dog, and she also has a calming nature.
Colton would often guide Willow to go outside. Wherever Colton goes, Willow will be there to follow her. Susan couldn’t believe that a baby donkey and a dog would become best friends. Colton and Willow genuinely love each other, and they always want to be with each other.
Colton and Willow’s special friendship even caused Susan to become less productive at the farm because she also loves being with the two animals to watch them play and hangout. Colton and Willow’s unique friendship is truly inspirational, and it breaks the stereotype that farm animals can’t be friends with your usual pets, such as cats or dogs. Here’s a heartwarming video showing how Colton and Willow became best friends.
